I know this news may be deeply unsettling to some of you. I also understand that the news of this federal action may compound concerns that you may already have. As I noted in my last message on March 19, the Graduate School will continue communicating with you.Although information about these grant suspensions is still developing, the University administration is reaching out to departments and PIs to understand and address the potential impact on research. The Graduate School remains in contact with directors of graduate studies to understand how the academic progress and well-being of graduate students in each program may be affected. We encourage you to review the University’s resources on federal actions, and we suggest you save the links to specific resources you may need for quick access. Please also familiarize yourself with the Graduate School’s links to University student-centered support and reach out for support if you need it. Finally, we want you to know the Graduate School is here for you. Please use this short check-in form to let us know how you are doing and if you would like a member of our team to reach out to you. You can also reach out to us via [email protected]. This email box is closely monitored.I echo President Eisgruber’s appreciation for your resilience and commitment to our shared mission during this challenging time. Warmly,Rodney D.
