Princeton graduate student Colin Defant wins Hertz Fellowship
Colin Defant, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mathematics, has won a Hertz Fellowship. The Fannie and John Hertz Foundation announced the 2018 awards on March 26, 2018. Hertz Fellowships are one of the most presitigious and selective fellowships available to support graduate work in science, mathematics and engineering. Fellows receive five years of full financial support, allowing them freedom to pursue cutting-edge research. 10 Fellows were selected in 2018 from an applicant pool of nearly 700 applicants.
