About

The Cotsen Endowment in the Humanities was established to strengthen teaching and scholarship in the humanities. Cotsen Junior Fellows work with Cotsen Faculty Fellows to improve their teaching skills while developing new undergraduate course materials and instructional ideologies and participating in pursuits in keeping with the purpose of the endowment.

Terms

This 10-month award provides full funding for tuition and student health plan fees as well as a stipend at the full teaching-assistantship rate. The stipend (which is taxable) is distributed over 10 months beginning in August. Cotsen Junior Fellows may hold a teaching assistantship of no more than 3 hours during the fellowship year.

Selection Process

Cotsen Junior Fellows are selected by current Cotsen Faculty Fellows each spring for the following academic year.
