About

The Center for Culture, Society and Religion encourages intellectual exchange and interdisciplinarity in the study of religion across the humanities (culture) and social sciences (society). Aligned with the Department of Religion, the Center supports Princeton faculty and students in pursuing research, teaching and scholarly exchange on religion. The Center is committed to the study of religion through diverse methods across historical and contemporary manifestations, and to the dissemination of the fruits of religion scholarship to the Princeton campus and broader public.

Terms

Students who have reached or will be entering Dissertation Completion Enrollment (DCE) status who apply for CCSR Graduate Research Awards will additionally be considered for a small number of Dissertation Completion Awards. The Dissertation Completion Award provides full DCE fees (tuition and student health plan) for the academic year plus a stipend at the 10-month University Fellowship rate. The stipend is distributed over 10 months beginning in August. Award recipients agree to be regular participants in the Center's weekly interdisciplinary Culture, Society and Religion seminar.
