International Students International students have additional limitations on their ability to hold employment on- or off-campus, and must comply with all rules on the Davis International Center’s employment page or risk violating their visa immigration status. Davis International Center employment guidance confirms: Total hours: For J-1 and F-1 visa holders sponsored by Princeton, total on-campus employment is limited to 20 hours per week. School breaks: For international students with full-time AR/AI appointments, additional employment may be permissible during official school breaks. Prior Approval: J-1 students must have prior approval from their adviser at Davis International Center to work on campus. All international students should confer with Davis prior to accepting supplemental employment. Visit the External Opportunities page in the Academics section to learn more.
