Tabea Zimmerman, violist
The viola is an instrument of mysterious beauty – more complex and rustic than the violin, but in the right hands every bit as expressive. Tabea Zimmerman is possibly the world’s greatest living violist. She will perform viola classics with pianist Thomas Hoppe (Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Hindemith, and Ran), and we are lucky to have a small block of seats reserved for graduate students. Tickets are $10 ($40 off face value!) – then we’ll head over to the Bent Spoon afterward for a free post-concert ice cream. Email Chris at firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP by Thursday, October 12. This is a great deal, so space is extremely limited!
