Critical Films, Critical Conversations: Paris is Burning
A new monthly film series started by a passionate group of graduate students and sponsored by the Graduate School. Each program features a film or documentary surrounding a meaningful social justice-oriented topic followed by a post-film discussion. November's film is "Paris is Burning", a film from the mid-to-late 1980s, thoughtfully chronicling the ball culture of New York City and the African-American, Latino, gay, and transgender communities involved in it. Attendance is limited to 20, snacks will be served. Please email Kevin Fleming at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up. Sponsored by the Graduate School.
