American Higher Education: Its History, Culture and Challenges

Oct 11 2017 -
4:30pm to 6:30pm

This monthly workshop series will take a long view of American higher education, framing its problems and prospects in historical terms. How did we get here? Where are we headed and why? Where should we be headed? Graduate students will have a deeper understanding of the history and culture of the field in which they hope to enter. Topics will range from the history and growth of graduate education to the role faculty in university governance across institutional types.
