IvyPlus Exchange Scholar Program

Students who wish to take classes or conduct research at Princeton must be fully vaccinated in order to be approved to participate. Princeton graduate students who wish to participate at a host institution must abide by the host institution health protocols.

The Ivy Plus Exchange Scholar Program enables Princeton Ph.D. students to take courses or conduct dissertation research for up to one academic year at one of the following universities:

  • University of California, Berkeley
  • Brown University
  • University of Chicago
  • Columbia University (If taking two courses or less, please use the IUDC form.)
  • Cornell University
  • Dartmouth College
  • Harvard University
  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.)
  • University of Pennsylvania
  • Stanford University
  • Yale University

Students are normally eligible for this exchange program after completing one year of residence at Princeton. Students are regularly registered at their home institution, and hold special nondegree status at the host institution.

Register

The deadline to submit an application is two months prior to the registration date at the host institution.

Participation in the program requires the approval of the director of graduate studies (or the department chair) and the graduate school dean at both the home and the host institutions.

Financial Support

Ordinarily, students will not receive any financial support from the host institution. Students coming to Princeton should not expect to be hired to work or be paid as an assistant in research while participating in the program.
