Christine Murphy is the associate dean for academic affairs in the Graduate School. In this role, she works closely with the natural science and engineering graduate departments to articulate and enforce graduate school academic policy, to advise and support graduate students, and to resolve academic and enrollment issues.

Christine holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and transitioned to academic administration following her postdoctoral work at Duke University. Christine has been in the Graduate School since 2013. 

Areas of Responsibility:

• Enrollment and program status issues
• Final public oral examination/defense approvals
• Department and graduate student issues concerning academic progress and degree completion
• Academic advising
• Special responsibility for the natural science and engineering fields
