Identification Cards

If the ID Card Office received a usable photograph to preprint an ID card for you, you may pick up the card at the New Graduate Student Sign-In at Chancellor Green Rotunda. If you do not receive an ID card at Sign-In, you will need to visit the ID Card Office, Floor A in the New South Building, after your Sign-In process is completed.

The ID cards issued this year will also grant you proximity reader door access. Prox door access is needed for: New Graduate College; undergraduate dorms, exterior entry doors; Engineering Quad front door; other academic buildings as approved/requested by your department. To use your ID prox card for door access, simply present the card to the reader attached to the door frame. When the small green light turns on, the door lock will unlatch and you will be able to pull the door open.

If you lose your ID card, notify the ID Card Office as soon as possible, 609-258-5436. Replacement cards must be obtained in person. There is a fee to replace lost, stolen, or damaged cards.

Spouses, domestic partners, and children of graduate students may, under certain conditions and with appropriate documentation, obtain a University ID card. They should present themselves at the Graduate School Office, 113 Clio Hall, with the enrolled graduate student and documentation. A list of acceptable documentation and application forms can be obtained in the Graduate School Office or in the ID Card Office.

Should you have questions about your ID card, please call 609-258-5436.
