Federal Work-Study Information for Students
The Federal Work-Study (FWS) application deadline is Friday, May 23, 2008. You will be notified of the decision as soon as your eligibility is determined by the Graduate School ASAP after June 23rd.
Please note: There is a better chance of you obtaining a summer FWS position if you are able to identify a specific faculty member with whom you wish to work.
Complete the following steps in order to apply for summer FWS.
- FAFSA - must be filed by 5/23/08 for full consideration for summer work-study. The FAFSA is used to determine your eligibility for federal aid. The 2008-2009 FAFSA is available online . NOTE: You must list Princeton’s Federal School Code on the FAFSA; Princeton’s code is 002627.
- Summer Work-Study Application
Download the graduate student Summer Work-Study Application and return it to the Graduate School Office, 111 Clio Hall by May 23, 2008.
- 2007 Tax Return
Submit a signed copy of your 2007 federal income tax return to the Graduate School Office (111 Clio Hall) by May 23, 2008. If you were not required to file a federal tax return, submit a signed statement indicating your sources and amounts of income during calendar year 2006. - Statement of Selective Service
Complete the Statement of Selective Service Registration Compliance (.pdf) and return it to the Office of Graduate Student Life.
