APGA Summer Travel Grant

Currently enrolled graduate students who have been invited to give a scholarly paper or presentation at a professional meeting or conference may apply for a $600 grant from this source. The activity must take place between June 1 and Aug. 31. The application deadline to apply for a summer travel grant is May 1. Please submit requests to David Redman, Associate Dean.

The APGA Summer Travel Grants will therefore complement and extend for the summer, the Dean's Fund for Scholarly Travel, which provides assistance for the same purpose during the academic year. The same guidelines will also apply. Please refer to the Dean's Fund for Scholarly Travel guidelines. Please use the same application form as used for the Dean's Fund for Scholarly Travel.

Requests are reviewed, in part, on a first-come, first-served basis, and not every worthy request in every funding period can be granted. In short, there is a limited amount of funding available.  The Graduate School Office will hold all requests received up to the deadline, review them, and make its decisions. If after that funds remain, then requests received after the deadline will be considered.
