Center for Migration and Development
The Center for Migration and Development offers a limited number of summer research fellowships for pre-dissertation and dissertation fieldwork and writing. Support is limited to the fields of international migration and development. Only students who have completed their generals are eligible to apply. The maximum award is $5,000. Priority will be given to topics dealing with the Center’s current thematic priorities as listed in their website: immigrant transnational organizations; immigration and health; the adaptation process of the immigrant second generation; the role of institutions on national and community development in the third world.
In addition to the materials required for the common application, proposals should include two letters of support; one letter must be from the student’s principal advisor. These letters are to be submitted in hard copy to the Center for Migration and Development at 179 Wallace Hall.
