Fulbright IIE Travel Grant
Grants are made to students who plan to go to Germany, Hungary, Italy or Korea and who hold other awards which do not provide for travel expenses or to supplement a student’s own funds. Travel grants cover round-trip transportation, health and accident insurance, and the cost of an IIE orientation program abroad, if applicable. Travel Grants are applied for on the same forms as the IIE full grants, with the same internal campus deadline of October 1. We suggest that you check with your DGS concerning the possibility of taking your stipend abroad. To increase your chance of receiving a fellowship, however, you should apply for both the IIE Full Grant listed above and the Travel Grant if applicable. This is done by following application procedures and deadlines for the IIE full grant and also filling out the section for travel grants on the IIE student record card in the application, citing your University stipend fellowship.Remember that application for the Fulbright Travel Grant applies only if you wish to go to one of the four countries listed above.
