Job Market Tell All: Advice from First-year Princeton Junior Faculty about Going on the Market
In this lunch-hour discussion attended by graduate students only, brand-new assistant professors at Princeton in literature will talk about their experiences of the Year of Rejection, otherwise known as looking for a tenure-track professorial position. In frank detail, they will talk about how they handled issues like cover letters, job interviews, and job talks, as well as moments of despair in Chicago elevators.
Open only to graduate students from the various Princeton departments of literature including: Comperative Literature, French and Italian, German, Slavic Languages, English, Spanish and Portuguese, East Asian Studies, Near Eastern Studies, and Classics.
