Bollywood Masala Orchestra & Dancers of India

Nov 16 2015 - 7:30pm

For the first time to McCarter comes a Bollywood celebration—a bold vision of Indian music and dance presented by Rahis Bharti, who invites you on a lively musical journey from Radasthan to Mumbai that characterizes the incredible India we know today. With a company of 17 musicians and dancers, you will experience a veritable feast of sounds, featuring a mix of Indian and Western musicians (such as drums of all sorts and sizes, plus table, dholak, harmonium, and clarinet), and a traditional Rajasthani display of dance and deviltry including pot balancing, standing on swords, the snake and spinning dance or the Maharaja, and even fire breathing.  Seats are limited and are only available for Princeton graduate students. Contact Olivia at omartel@princeton.edu  to reserve a ticket indicating your name, PUID number (the nine digit number on the front of your PUID card), and the last two digits of your social security number.  To bring a guest that is not a PU student you would need to buy their ticket for $15 and indicate that you will bring a guest when you first email.  Please note, VSRCs are not eligible for the Tiger Ticket program.
