Art Museum Outdoor Movie: Frida (2002)

Jun 23 2016 - 8:00pm

Inspired by the pioneering women featured in the Museum’s exhibition Women, Art, and Social Change: The Newcomb Pottery Enterprise, this year’s outdoor film series celebrates women in film.  The series kicks off with Salma Hayek’s nuanced performance as the artist Frida Kahlo in Julie Taymor’s Frida, a biography of artist Frida Kahlo, who channeled the pain of a crippling injury and her tempestuous marriage into her work. This film is rated R and is 2 hours long.  Film begins at sundown.  In the event of rain, film will be shown at 8pm in McCormick Hall 101.  Sign up with Olivia at
