Getting What You Came for...
The Office of Diversity is committed to ensuring that underrepresented and socioeconomically disadvantaged students are successful in meeting all of the requirements of their respective graduate programs, especially Ph.D. programs, in a timely manner.
To address holistically the needs of the students from the very beginning of their graduate career, the Office of Diversity offers an orientation dinner in September for students of color to introduce them to their advocates and allies in the Graduate School. This year, the Office of Diversity will offer a six-week course to facilitate acculturation and to examine critically the often unspoken rites of passage toward success in graduate school.
