OIT Resources and Support

Outstanding technology resources and support await you

At Princeton University, you can expect high-speed networks and Internet access everywhere, both wired and wireless in your campus residence*, and ubiquitous wireless service in academic buildings and outdoor wireless areas. You can read your e-mail on your own computer or at kiosks and clusters while you're on the go and around campus. You can safeguard your important academic work by taking advantage of central file storage, and you can buy software at special student pricing. It's all available to you.

When you have technology questions or problems, you can turn to the many avenues of technology support available to you. OIT Help Desk consultants are here to help you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To reach a Help Desk consultant, call (609) 258-HELP (4357), e-mail or use the online chat from the OIT home page

For technology support in your campus residence, call on your residential computing consultants. You can even take your computer to a walk-in clinic located in the Frist Campus Center for problem diagnosis and assistance. If heavy-duty repair is required, warranty hardware repair service is available and conveniently located on campus.

The providers of networking, telephone, and cable TV service depend on the location of your campus residence. For a list of service providers by residence, please refer to this chart.

* Princeton-provided connectivity is not available in the Alexander Street and Millstone apartments.
